<div>&nbsp;The building of the <a href="https://rebobinart.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=1bfbe415e38be2b31a39bd636&amp;id=5b0efa18ae&amp;e=e025e5ad57">Livensa Living Studios Madrid Alcobendas</a> project culminates with the mural intervention of more than 138 square meters of the artist <a href="https://rebobinart.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=1bfbe415e38be2b31a39bd636&amp;id=0eee849194&amp;e=e025e5ad57">Uriginal</a>, who has represented a female character, which fusions Athena, the Greek goddess of war and civilization, with Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom and the arts. The figure’s face traits look like a mosaic made of a myriad of color hues. The artist’s touch is remarkable in this work, a mark characterized by the deconstruction of organic forms to visually reinterpret them through geometric compositions that play with lights and shadows, and different volumes.<br><br>Departing from the command of color and anatomy, the artwork challenges the beholder to question how our eye deciphers what we see, which is constituted by a million of chromatic points that are ordered by sight into a shape that makes sense. The exercise that Uriginal executes is an inverted “trompe l’oeil” – instead of making his hand invisible, the artist highlights the coding of the image leaving it in its initial state, without interpretations or nuances.<br><br>Minerva’s fragmented face is complemented by another of the artist’s marks: the vibrant sunflower-like colors emanating from the figure transport us to a contemporary apparition of the goddess. At the same time, it reaffirms the artist’s mission of trying to reveal the mysteries of color.<br><br>The mural, which has been produced by <a href="https://rebobinart.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=1bfbe415e38be2b31a39bd636&amp;id=3174f1ce15&amp;e=e025e5ad57">Rebobinart</a>, has been executed from May 3 to 26, and will be inaugurated once the hotel opens its doors next September.&nbsp;</div>

Unfortunately, it is still too common to find women exploited and forced into prostitution on its streets. For the most part young people, with their whole lives ahead of them but who have not had the opportunity they deserve.<br>Spaces like this must be rethought from another position and with other parameters.<br>A polygon like Marconi must be a place of professional, safe, friendly and inclusive development for everyone and especially for them.<br><br>Nuria looks towards that future, at those new opportunities. Her gaze is accompanied by a flock of swallows, birds that migrate to safer and less hostile places, symbols of hope, of new and good beginnings.<br>I hope and wish that this project is one of the first seeds for the positive change that begins in the Villaverde Industrial Estate.<br><br>-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br> Hablar de futuro, igualdad y respeto es hablar de la mujer, de su papel en la sociedad y en concreto de su papel en el Polígono de Villaverde. <div><strong>GVIIIE</strong> got immersed in the world of graffiti during his teenage years, combining it with Graphic Design studies in Madrid’s Escuela de Arte 10 and Cinema Studies in the University of Arts London. Painting in a range of surfaces, he has developed a distinct neo-rupestrian style.<br><br></div><div>Painting in 3 Almendro street, the artist created a work that speaks of the timeless dimension in art. He tried to capture this concept through two designs – one of an abstract of a <a href="https://www.widewalls.ch/artist/caravaggio/"><strong>Caravaggio</strong></a> painting <em>El tañidor de laúd</em> and the other depicting a youngster listening to music over the phone. As he explained, the experience of painting in the street is always intense, being exposed to both good and bad feedback. <div>One of the leading graffiti artists in France, <a href="https://www.widewalls.ch/artist/zest/"><strong>Franck Noto aka Zest</strong></a> is known for his unique abstract vocabulary characterized by decomposed movements. Over the years, he has turned his work into a much more personal form of expression, significantly progressing towards <a href="https://www.widewalls.ch/what-is-abstract-art-informel/">abstraction</a>.<br><br></div><div>Combining different energies found in graffiti, Zest brings them out through the basic shapes and the primary colors he uses. This is also the case with the piece on the Lavapies street which is adding a perfect touch of color to the area. Its bright colors symbolize the aspect of urban art that immediately catches the eye of passers-by, while its transparency of forms reflects an accumulation of energies and movements.<br><br></div>

<div>For each piece, Ever does <strong>anthropological research</strong>, seeking to discover the values and issues connected to specific communities where he works. Therefore, his rich and colorful piece on Embajadores Street combines art history references with figurative elements typical of <strong>the Lavapies neighborhood</strong>. The artist used motifs from Matisse’s iconic 1910 painting <em>Dance</em>, which symbolizes a strong sense of unity and a high level of community consciousness in the neighborhood. Inside Matisse’s dance circle, the artist added an assemblage of fruits, flowers and a range of different objects, all referencing <strong>El Rastro</strong>, a lively and multicultural flea market taking place each Sunday in Lavapies. On top of that, an assortment of kittens is there to provide a cuteness relief, while also sending a political message. Ever is quite happy with the feedback from the local community, highlighting the importance of creating a dialogue with them instead of just invading their space.</div>

<div>&nbsp;At the center of the eye is Planet Earth, with the Amazon as the pupil and Chile clearly visible as a homage to the official COP25 host country. “Forest Focus” alludes to the eye symbol of Goal 13 for Climate Action with the image of the world as the iris. This mural has an artistic focal point that symbolize the values set forth at the COP25 conference being held in Madrid.”&nbsp;</div>

<div>A social movement in Spain inspired the creation of La Chulapa&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Jorge Rodríguez-Gerada is the author of a new work of urban art called La Chulapa in the Tercio and Terol districts of Madrid.&nbsp;<br>The figure of La Chulapa evokes a woman with the typical costume of the late nineteenth century. This piece is located in the tower of the Old Water Reservoir in the street of Amalarico near San Isidro in Carabanchel.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>The aim of this project was to activate the visibility of parts of the capital that unfortunately have been forgotten by the current administrations. And what better way to do it than through urban art. Moreover, the mural has a deeper meaning because it is a tribute to all men and women who have joined forces to unite this place.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Most importantly, La Chulapa is located in an enclave in Madrid where the inhabitants have resisted the attacks of gentrification that permeate the areas around the capital. In other words, it is a transforming force with a lot of history.&nbsp;<br><br></div>

<div>This stencil piece by French artist Christian Guémy (a.k.a. C215) depicts Spanish artist and surrealism master Salvador Dalí. The piece is small in size and can be easily missed. It is located in a low window in the Cuesta de Santo Domingo, between the begining of the street and the Alliance Françcaise de Madrid.<br><br>Born in 1973, C215 started spray painting in 2005 and is today one of the finest, and most productive stencil artists on the street art scene. Guémy explains: "I try to interact with context, so I place in the streets elements and characters that belong especially to the streets. I like to show things and people that society aims at keeping hidden: homeless people, smokers, street kids, bench lovers for example".<br><br></div><div>Shepard Fairey says about Guémy: "C215's art captures a light, depth, and humanity that is difficult, and rare using stencils, his chosen medium. Stencils tend to flatten images and make them static, but C215 has developed a style of illustrating and stenciling that yields an impressionistic illumination of his subject's character. Even though his technique is meticulously refined, C215's work transcends the formal and seems to get to the core of compassion and belief in the human spirit. Encountering C215's pieces on the street always makes me happy".<br><br></div>

Positioned in the very centre of the town, this mural creates a contrast with the pedestrian shopping street in which it is located. Instead of carrying shopping bags, girl depicted on the mural is holding a pile of books important for the history and culture of the city, and a plant with a small birdhouse that is inviting all the 'birds' to come and feel like home!"<br><br>About <a href="http://artezonline.com/">Artez</a>:<br><br>Artez was born in 1988 in Belgrade, in former Yugoslavia. At a very young age he was confronted with the conflictive political situation and the graffiti culture that was starting to appear on the streets of Belgrade during the ’90s, This new way of expression inspired Artez to start spraying in public space when he was 15 years old. The temporary nature of graffiti gave him freedom to experiment with different styles and tools used for painting and the constant change of “workspace” awakened his love for creating art in public space. Artez soon mastered the use of spray can as a painting tool he used for creating different graffiti styles &amp; characters, 3D letters &amp; photorealism. Over the years his focus moved from painting small scale surfaces with spray cans to painting large scale murals with acrylic wall paint, brush and rollers. As the artist explained on his Instagram profile, success and ruin are the two sides of the same coin. The piece can be found in the neighborhood Barrio de las Letras.&nbsp;</div>

<div>“Estado de ánimo” (in English: “Mood”) is a mural by Spanish artist Toni Arribas (a.k.a. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/elreydelaruina/?hl=en">El Rey de la Ruina</a>). It can be found behind the Caixa Forum museum in Madrid.<br><br>The artist explained on his Instagram account that this piece was based on a classic haiku. He added that "even on a world so full with darkness as ours, poppies blossom".</div>

That is the reason why the human being has always look to go further and further, by building roads and railways, by sailing the oceans and flying above the clouds.<br>But not the only physical movement what keeps us alive.<br><br>Social unrest keeps the ideals awake and up in arms. That is another way of feeling alive. The San Cristobal colony lives with the movement -in the broadest sense- running through its veins.<br><br>"With this intervention we want to pay tribute to a community that has fought for their principles. <div>Mural by Brazilian artist Fabio de Oliveira (a.k.a. Cranio). The piece was created during the second edition of Urvanity Art Fair in 2018. It depicts three of his signature blue indigenous characters.<br><br>As Cranio explained in an interview, "this mural has three shamans, who together symbolize protection, bringing balance and spreading peace. The shaman is considered one of the most important figures within the Brazilian indigenous tribes of Tupi-Guarani origin, used to refer to the figure of the counselor, healer, sorcerer and spiritual intermediary of an indigenous community."<br><br>As "Widewalls" magazine points, <a href="https://www.widewalls.ch/artist/cranio/"><strong>Cranio</strong></a> is best known for his blue Indian characters that reflect the troubles indigenous people from Brazil face in the unforgiving contemporary world. His works highlight this contrast between their spiritual world and the <a href="https://www.widewalls.ch/consumerist-art-culture-critique/">consumerist</a> and harsh environment, raising questions about the society we live in. His moniker is actually his childhood nickname he got while he was in school. He was the smartest kid in his class, so the other kids named him Cranio, someone with a big brain. Cranio means Skull in Portuguese and Brazilian. He began his art journey in 1998 by writing his name on the walls, <strong>influenced by graffiti from other artists he saw around the city</strong>, like <a href="https://www.widewalls.ch/artist/os-gemeos/"><strong>Os Gemeos</strong></a>. It wasn’t long until he started drawing characters that gave a bit of humor to the grayness of the concrete walls. He’s a self-taught artist, who learned everything he knows about the art on the streets. Over the years, his technique and context, which are essential for his work, have improved drastically, without affecting the sharpness of the style he’s known for.</div>

<div>El Rey de la Ruina (Tony Arribas). The hearts of El Rey de la Ruina are now a classic of Madrid' s landscape. He has been painting the streets sin 2000 with different alias.<br>El Rey de la Ruina nickname comes from his dreams as a kid with devastated and abandoned places (or ruins). Mostly because of the relation of this spaces with the literature and disptopic or postapocaliptic cinema. The use of the hearts in his art pieces are because of a diagnosis received a time ago of a cardiomegalia, the abnormal growth of the volume of the heart.</div>
