LA PINTA

The painting depicts a white sailboat with a tall mast navigating on stylized waves under a cloudy sky, using different shades of blue and white, where the indigo blue creates a sort of trompel'oeil that let us watch the ship sailing away

The ship supposedly represents La Pinta, one of the three Spanish ships granted by the Crown of Castille to the expedition commanded by Christopher Columbus during the first voyage to the New World in 1492. The Pinta was the first ship to return from the American Continent bringing the good news, maybe the lucky strike you are looking for when buying the lottery
