<div>DISCOVER THE CITY THROUGH WHOLE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE<br><br>We are an enthusiastic team from different parts of the world but who have one thing in common: <strong>we're passionate about art and street art</strong>.<br><br></div><div>Our project started in Lisbon over 10 years ago as <strong>the first ones</strong> to share our knowledge about the Lisbon’s street art and graffiti scenery and since then we only kept trying to improve and offer a wide range of tailored tours on request for small and big groups as well as young families, teambuildings, etc... This tour is for anyone who wants to discover Lisbon for the first time or wants to dig into this vivid city through a <strong>different</strong>, <strong>artistic and fun way</strong>, may it be as a street art hunter, -lover, or -wanna-be... It brings people together from all over the world.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>What is our purpose?<br></strong><br></div><div>We want to be the most relevant, updated and respectful source of Street Art in Lisbon. But we want to do that by also contributing to the art-scenery of Lisbon as part of our earnings go to our yesyoucan.spray street art collective with which we organize paintjams and workshops with artists from, based in, and passing through Lisbon.</div><div><br></div><div>What can you <strong>expect </strong>from us?<br><br>We invite you into a <strong>cultural and immersive dialogue</strong>, based on the <strong>edu-tainment</strong> principle, which means having fun while learning something new. Going through the different neighborhoods of Lisbon, we will highlight the roots of graffiti to the multiplicity of the urban art field. <div>Very colorful and evocative wall called MÚSICA made by a fantastic Portuguese graff writer, Mosaik from the Thunders Crew for the MURO Urban Art Festival in 2019 in the Lisbon neighborhood of Lumiar. In the wall the artist intertwined his name with the word Musica, music in Portuguese. Like the artist himself said this wall is an extraordinary virtual vortex. In it you can find a lot of things that evoke music, a bird, an old gramophone record player, notes, a loudspeaker. <div>This year, we have had ample time to reflect and, inevitably, adapt to changes.<br>2020 will always be the year we returned to our homes, our neighbourhoods, our families, to all that is essential. To discover within ourselves the resilience and courage to face the unknown.<br>I wanted this intervention in the traditional Graça neighbourhood to adapt to its surrounding space, create a transition from old to new, from blue to its neighbouring green, and create new patterns based on the existing tiles in order to achieve harmony between the two buildings.<br>This because the mural results from a reflection on our individual abilities to adapt to our environments and realities, and to do so as a community, so that we can once again find some harmony. Here she emphasizes the animal side of humans that we all share.&nbsp;</div>

Although most work has become more efficient over the centuries, some traditional forms of livelihood remain. Such as pastoralism, here symbolized with sheep or fishing. Both of these industries you can find in Portugal as well as in small regions of the Czech Republic, I perceive it as a bridge between our countries. In contrast, there is also nature and modern technologies in the picture.<br><br>Dogecoin as a symbol of cryptocurrencies and the present time of progress and absurd earnings is in direct contrast to the hard livelihood of pastoralists and fishermen. This is part of Edis One Extinction series where he fills really well his role of ambassador for the WWF- Portugal representing, in a sensitive and caring way, several animal species that we need to protect. <div>The giant Iberian Lynx, Bordalo’s biggest Trash Animal to date,&nbsp; dominates the square at Parque das Nações. Squeezed in between the sea and the MEO Arena the big lynx quietly lookes down upon you. To fully grasp its size, just the tips of its paws are made of giant green rubbish bins, as the rest of its body is made up of an array of colourful and vibrant recycled materials.&nbsp;</div><div>In 2018 a giant lynx was spotted in Lisbon, so this inspired the artist to create this icon.</div><div><br><br></div>

<div>This half chimp is one of the first pieces of the Half Half series of Bordalo's work and it's been hanging in there since 2017.<br><br>Here's his philosophy behind the work (source: <a href="https://www.bordaloii.com/big-trash-animals-series/half-half">https://www.bordaloii.com/big-trash-animals-series/half-half</a>): "<em>Further to the Neutral series, the next step was to partially expose the plastics and materials used for their composition. Thus, Half Half animals drop half of their camouflage: one side realistic and the other devoid of ink, in order to make the origin of the chosen raw material more easily apprehensible. Through the rawness of the materials that make up the pieces, it is the shapes and contrasts that suggest the continuation of the image, represented in a more abstract way. <div>This frog is one of Bordalo II's oldest plastic animals dating back to 2017. You really need to know it to find it, even thought it sits at the end of a busy street. The focus is on form and composition in order to create colorful works, demonstrating the artist's appreciation for the contradictory beauty of our waste, through games of contrast, texture, color and depth, created with parts of recognizable objects from our daily lives"<br><br>A little info about Bordalo II and his work philisophy on his own words (source: <a href="https://www.bordaloii.com/about"><em>https://www.bordaloii.com/about</em></a>)<br><em>He attended the Painting course at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon for eight years, without ever having completed it, but says that these years allowed him to discover sculpture, ceramics, and to experiment with a variety of materials that have distanced him from painting, which had taken him there in the first place.<br>The public space would become the chosen stage for his explorations of color and scale and the platform where he gradually transformed his habits and channeled his experiences in the construction and development of his artistic work, which is currently focused on questioning the materialistic and greedy society of which he is (also) part.<br>The excessive production and consumption of stuff, which results in the continuous production of “garbage” and consequently in the destruction of the Planet, are the central themes of his production. <div>Author of one of the songs that served as the slogan for the 25th of April is honored on the facade of a building on the corner of Rua António Patrício and Avenida de Roma, observed a few meters away by the also immense mural dedicated to the singer.<br><br>A work that contemplates Alvalade with a “duet”, since the one who observes the immense painting closely is Simone de Oliveira, immortalized on the facade of the building next to the new mural .<br><br>The homage to the performer of E tarde do adeus , winner of the 1974 Festival da Canção and, alongside Grândola, Vila Morena , key song for the 25th of April, is part of the Inesquecíveis Gallery , an initiative of the Parish Council of Alvalade to stamp the effigy of great Portuguese artists on murals around the neighbourhood.<br><br>The artist was invited by the honoree himself. “He called me and said he'd like me to paint his face on the building's façade”, recalls Tamara Alves, 39, an Algarve woman from Praia do Carvoeiro who has been spreading her art around the country's walls abroad for 13 years.</div>
