ASA NEGRA

"Asa Negra" (Black Wing), a hand-finished paste-up, is a tribute to the importance of balancing light and shadow. With this painting, I want to invite you to reflect on the necessity of exploring our deepest "self" in order to truly be free and authentic. It is a celebration of the power of the subconscious and the transformative potential that resides within each of us.

The relationship between the human and the spiritual is a central theme in this painting. The girl represents the feminine side, symbolising intuition, creativity, and inner power. The crow, in turn, acts as a guide to understanding the shadow side — that part we often avoid, but which is essential for growth.

So, the message is simple: only by embracing our shadow side can we achieve true enlightenment.
