commented on an artworkThe mural “City Tree” was created with the support of the Rēzekne City Council. As the artists themselves say, the mural has sparked discussions within the community. For some, it represents a tree trunk or roots; for others, a graphic composition of lines; while others associate it with worms or tangled hair. The artists, however, intended to highlight and depict the energy of the city and the vibration of movement.

commented on an artworkStudents from Rēzekne Academy of Technologies participated in the project “Come Enjoy Books and Art,” where a design for tunnels artwork was created from previously submitted children’s drawings. The main rule of the children’s competition was to read the children’s book Greg’s Diary by American author and cartoonist Jeff Kinney and create a drawing inspired by the book. Representatives of the association “ART Market” and Liāna Merņaka reviewed the submitted works and developed the overall visual concept, after which aspiring designers painted the tunnel. The work was led by Liāna Merņaka. The project was supported by the United States Embassy in Riga, Latvia.
