The concept of the location was created by Santa Ostaša. In collaboration with graffiti artists KVĀPS and Archa the stylistic and visual design of the place was developed, with a special emphasis on street art that appeals to young people. The ends of the water barrels feature the anthem of Ozolaine Parish. The calligraphy work was created by Archa.
Some of the benches were made by the Malta Association administration, while their visual appearance was designed by children under the guidance of KVĀPS and the rapper Ūga. The other benches were crafted by the residents of Pleikšņi village themselves and decorated with animal motifs by artist Diāna Lipska-Uzuliņa together with her assistants. The artist has also painted the nearby birdhouses.
This particular place is noticeable from a great distance, as it is located on a hill, and is marked by a huge wooden sign reading “PLEIKŠŅI” — a kind of Hollywood of the Rēzekne area.
An ideal place for dates, relaxation, and events. Come and see for yourself! ✌🏻
