The mural was created in late summer 2020 as part of an intercultural graffiti workshop organized by Malteser Ludwigshafen.

Under the motto “Graffiti without Borders,” seven young people from five different countries of origin designed the previously gray transformer station of the Technische Werke Ludwigshafen (TWL).

The comic characters and the word “Schlachthof” refer to the history and the vibrant surroundings of the neighborhood.

The project was intended to create a visible symbol of diversity, tolerance, and the creative co‑shaping of one’s own living environment in the district.
