Seth Globepainter2. Seth GlobepainterBorn in Paris, Seth began to express himself on the walls of his city in the mid-90s. His preferred terrain, however, was in the 20th district where he became known in the graffiti scene for his specialization of painting characters. Graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs, he published alongside Gautier Bischoff in 2000 the book Kapital, which to this day remains one the best-selling books about French graffiti. Together, they founded Wasted Talent in 2004, a publishing house that specializes in monographs of urban artists. Before becoming a full-tine artist, Seth worked in the creative industries: advertising, cartoons, comics. He painted in the street for his own pleasure. Starting from 2003, he went on a trip around the world to exchange with artists from different cultures, and to open up to new ways of living and painting in urban areas. This experience culminated in the book Globe Painter published in 2007 following with the documentary series Les Nouveaux Explorateurs produced and broadcast by Canal+ where Seth proposed to discover a country through the prism of its urban arts. For 5 years, he took a part in travelling to 15 destinations full of meaning. During the course of his artistic explorations, Seth developed his distinct painting style, working often with the theme of childhood. Using the wall as a blank page, Seth relies on one hand the individual or collective imagination – local gods, myths, or tales. The child becomes a spokesperson, a messenger of his investigations. He puts into play his image of innocence, and places his character in difficult social, political and geographical contexts. An approach that often has a dual meaning yet is never cynical; an urban painting that is engaged in alerting on the state of the world as a means to advance it.
Gomad13. GomadHi, I am GOMAD (Marcus Debie), a color blind Dutch artist, born and raised in the south of the Netherlands. I work as an international muralist and urban fine artist making murals and paintings for festivals, art lovers and exhibitions worldwide. Heavily influenced by the graffiti docu ‘Style Wars’, I got artistically active all the way back to 1985 in the Southern Dutch graffiti scene. My work is considered a pinnacle of post-neo graffitism, the fusion of photorealistic images of humans, animals and nature in a mind bending surrealistic setup, against organic shapes in an old Dutch masters composition. Combining oil paint, acrylics and sprays in a vibrant and unique idiosyncratic way.  Murals and urban fine art paintings of my hand can be found in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, England, Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, Albania, Bulgaria, Ireland, Switzerland, Sweden, Greece, Spain, United States and Australia.  Achievements: 2011 Winner of Dutch graffiti battle, Tilburg, Netherlands 2018 Nominated for People’s Favorite at the Dutch Street Art Awards, Rotterdam, Netherlands  2019 Biggest mural of Holland, 2000 m2, for Vice Versa/Dome X, Oss, Netherlands 2020 Participation ‘Street Art of the Year.com’ 2020 2nd place for best mural of 2020 by Street Art Cities 2021 Highest mural of Holland, 40 meters tall, for ZoWonen, Sittard, Netherlands  2021 Greenpoint Earth Screens award winner, New York, USA 2021 Mural projection for Open Art Shuffle festival at the ancient site of Petra in Jordan 2022 Live painting at the ancient site of Pompeii in Italy 2023 Nominated for Intense Mural and People’s Favorite at the Dutch Street Art Awards, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Gijs Vanhee14. Gijs VanheeGijs Vanhee, born in 1982 and based in Mechelen, Belgium, has a background in illustration and a passion for drawing and graffiti since childhood. Since 2016, he has focused on telling a coherent story throughout his body of work that spreads across various mediums, including paper, canvas, print, digital art, and mural paintings. Vanhee's narrative drawings often feature humans with bird heads, which he calls his "freebirds." These characters represent the idea of humans being free in their heads through imagination and reflect Vanhee's search for freedom and balance between nature and society. His works invite viewers to take the time to stop and look around, search for stories or questions about humans, and reflect on how we've drifted away from who we are. Vanhee's drawings have a recognizable style, often in black and white or with limited use of color. He uses elements and textures present in murals to create his work, and he often draws inspiration from his travels and local stories to fill in the details. The artist draws inspiration from nature, travel, surf and skate culture, graphic novelists, and other artists. Vanhee strives to keep his work honest by maintaining a sketchy feeling. His freebirds act as protagonists, taking viewers on a journey through his story. Vanhee's oeuvre is not bound by murals but continues through various mediums, allowing his freebirds to come to life in a story that forms a coherent whole. He creates art that is visible and enjoyable to a broad audience.
Medianeras20. MedianerasVanesa Galdeano and Analí Chanquía have been creating art in the public space for more than 14 years. Brought together by shared concerns for urban space and public art, they began producing work together 9 years ago. They created a unifying project called | MEDIANERAS | to expand and link their production. | MEDIANERAS | is the Spanish word for ‘side walls’. Unlike the walls, which are only responsible for separating the spaces, the side walls are those shared between neighbours. This concept interests them because they believe that public art, besides making cities more beautiful, claims the idea of a shared place – of all individuals. They believe public art does more than just beautify cities, it offers a shared space that brings individuals and communities together. Through public art, they want to alter the urban landscape and shift the way we typically perceive spaces. Fundamental to this is the need to move, tour cities and carry out their work in urban contexts around the world. So far, they have created public art together in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza, Florianópolis), Argentina (Buenos Aires, Rosario, San Juan, Villa Constitución), Bolivia (La Paz), México (Hollbox, Bacalar), UK (London), Germany (Wiesbaden, Chemnitz, Heidelberg, Wuppertal), Austria (Vienna), Portugal (Lisbon, Covilha, Cascais. Loures), Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Salamanca, Fanzara, La Bañeza, Valencia, Cheste, Tejeda de Tietar, Alberique, Alcoy, Galicia), Thailand (Bangkok), Australia (Melbourne, Brisbane), Uruguay (Mercedes), Belgium (Brussels, Geel, Ostend), Canada (Vancouver, Quebec), France (Morlaix, Briançon), Italy (Palermo, Padova, Milan), Norway (Oslo) and among others.
