Hi, I am GOMAD (aka Marcus Debie), a color blind Dutch artist, born and raised in the south of the Netherlands. I work as an international muralist and urban fine artist making murals and paintings for festivals, art lovers and exhibitions worldwide. Heavily influenced by the graffiti docu ‘Style Wars’, I got artistically active all the way back to 1985 in the Southern Dutch graffiti scene. My work is considered a pinnacle of post-neo graffitism, the fusion of photorealistic images of humans, animals and nature in a mind bending surrealistic setup, against organic shapes in an old Dutch masters composition. Combining oil paint, acrylics and sprays in a vibrant and unique idiosyncratic way. Murals and urban fine art paintings of my hand can be found in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, England, Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, Albania, Bulgaria, Ireland, Switzerland, Sweden, Greece, Spain, United States and Australia. Achievements: 2011 Winner of Dutch graffiti battle, Tilburg, Netherlands 2018 Nominated for People’s Favorite at the Dutch Street Art Awards, Rotterdam, Netherlands 2019 Biggest mural of Holland, 2000 m2, for Vice Versa/Dome X, Oss, Netherlands 2020 Participation ‘Street Art of the Year.com’ 2020 2nd place for best mural of 2020 by Street Art Cities 2021 Highest mural of Holland, 40 meters tall, for ZoWonen, Sittard, Netherlands 2021 Greenpoint Earth Screens award winner, New York, USA 2021 Mural projection for Open Art Shuffle festival at the ancient site of Petra in Jordan 2022 Live painting at the ancient site of Pompeii in Italy 2023 Nominated for Intense Mural and People’s Favorite at the Dutch Street Art Awards, Amsterdam, Netherlands
