<div>Telmo Pieper and Miel Krutzmann met in Rotterdam in 2007 before becoming an artist duo in 2012. It is together that the tandem learned and created their own style, each complementing the work of the other in a beautiful osmosis. artistic. Far From Tired

<div>Created for Infinito Festival in 2018<br><br>&nbsp;The Infinito Festival in Cascais Portugal had a theme in mind they wanted to work with, which the artists saw as an opportunity.<br>The festival’s idea was to create something that represents local elements as well as Global elements. Therefor the theme name was ‘Glocal’. The piece is also dubbed “Collecting the pieces from all around which finally make up who i am”<br><br></div><div>The duo decided to go with their unique collage technique to create a figure that hold different parts from different cultures. All these parts make up one person and embodies the idea of absorbing multiple aspects of various worlds. A portrait created with a soft and nuanced pallet to accompany the surroundings.&nbsp;<br><br></div>

<div>This mural 'Not as creep as I seem' was produced by Telmo Miel for the Beeldenstroom Woordenstorm festival in 2016 as an remembrance to the Iconoclasm that took place 400 years ago.<br>Under the name Iconoclash an x amount of murals got produced in and around the centre of Dordrecht. <div>Emergence Festival - Telmo Pieper and Miel Krutzmann have worked on their creative skills from an early age.<br>They met at the art academy in 2007. Miel, who had been painting on a wall with spray paint for several years, showed Telmo the possibilities of muralism. Since then they have worked together inseparably, as both of them like to work in a realistic style.<br>The duo decided to raise the level of their skills and bring their ambitions to the next level, founding the creative company 'TelmoMiel' in 2012. Mainly Telmo and Miel love to make large murals. They also worked on magazine illustrations (Playboy NL, Nusport, etc.)<br>Their paintings on canvas have participated in numerous exhibitions.</div>

Avec ce portrait de Marco Recchia, un mineur de 95 ans et en plus le dernier en vie, Telmo Miel rend un grand hommage à l'héritage et au patrimoine minier.<br>____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________<br>This mural can be found near Bois-du-Luc, the oldest mine in Belgium that closed in 1973 and is now UNESCO World Heritage. With this portrait of Marco Recchia, a 95-year-old mineworker and on top of that the last one currently alive, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/telmomiel/">Telmo Miel</a> pays a grand homage to the mining legacy and heritage.&nbsp;</div>

L'HOMME ORCHESTRE

<div>Dutch art duo Telmo Miel recently spent a couple of days in Haarlem working on a pretty much 1st large mural in this historic city just outside Amsterdam. Invited by the local initiative that is hoping to bring more color and public pieces into the streets, the artists completed this vibrant mixture of classic and modern aesthetic titled Portrait of a Girl in Blue and Pink, or Mona Gaga, as titled by the locals.<br><br>While researching for this project Telmo Miel visited the local Frans Hals Museum where they found out about this important work by Haarlem-born artist Johannes Verspronck. Originally titled Girl in Blue Dress this classic portrait from the middle of the 17th century shows a young girl wearing an extravagant adult dress. Since the original piece is nowadays in the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the artists wanted to bring it back to its hometown, but also add some contemporary elements to it. Along with meticulously reproducing the delicate dress painted by the Dutch master, they added an outspoken look of the modern times in the shape of an oversized pink bow and exaggerated sunglasses. The mixture of two time periods and two styles was done in a rough manner, evoking the basic Photoshop intervention, adding further to the extravagance of the finished image.<br>“To give the artwork a daily and modern twist, we chose to incorporate Lady Gaga. This makes it contemporary, but also classic due to the extravagant dress from older times.” shares the artists</div>

<div>The city of Deinze has unveiled the mural on the rear facade of theater hall Palace. The life-size work of the Rotterdam artist duo Telmo Miel shows three soldiers from the British Royal Gard, a nod to Buckingham Palace. In the painting the 'bears' hats seem to come to life.&nbsp;<br><br>Telmo Miel were invited by Stad Deinze, Street Art Belgium &amp; Kraft collective.&nbsp;</div>

<div>The image depicts a mother suggestively placing a helmet on her thoroughly armored son. As a way of telling a story of a mother’s love, the importance of family and the protection they provide. Her ‘futuristic’ son is seemingly prepared for what will come, for whatever might come with all that is happening in todays world.&nbsp;</div>
