62. MoxaicoDaniel Fernández (1980), "MOXAICO," is a self-taught artist with an extensive career in the world of graffiti and urban art since he first began spray-painting a wall in 1995. He has participated in competitions, festivals, and events, both as a graffiti writer, muralist, and jury member. He has promoted graffiti in the province of Almería since its inception, organizing exhibitions, workshops, courses, conferences, contests, and festivals. He went on to found and chair A.J. Vida Urbana (2000-2007), pioneering the opening of urban culture to both society and public administrations. After completing his studies in advertising graphics (2002), his work began to evolve from WildStyle and Pastelmode to a mural discourse, where figurative imagery and realism began to gain prominence in his search for new visual languages.
The name "COMA" gradually changed to "MOXAICO" as he developed a mural discourse closer to urban art than the graffiti from which he originated. Within a few years, he decided to focus his work on decorating urban environments or private spaces for companies such as Endesa, Cajamar, Kimitec, Aqualia, etc., and a multitude of public administrations, alternating with the creation of more personal works. The first Medianera (party wall) in the historic center of Almería, within its first phase of pedestrianization (2008), the Endesa Transformation Centers in Almería (2009), the Almería Fairgrounds (2010), and the Antonio de Torres Guitar Museum (2013), all gained great impact in his city. Since then, his work has spread throughout Spain and internationally, in cities such as Berlin (GER), Brussels (BG), Paris (FR), Cancún (MX), and Aalborg (DK), although the majority of his output is in Spain and, in particular, in the province of Almería.
Among his other awards for design, graffiti, urban art, and visual arts are the XI Fernando Quiñones National Competition, the "CICBUNY" Burgos-New York International Competition (2011), and two Alnomalia Contemporary Art Awards (2017 and 2019), as well as recognition among the world's best murals by various prestigious platforms such as StreetArtCities and Streetartoftheyear. His work currently focuses on realistic portraiture, figuration, and nature, along with a combination of tags and typography with geometric shapes, influenced by graphic design, with a minimalist and elegant appearance.
Today, he continues to collaborate in the organization of events such as the Vicar Hip Hop Street Festival (from 2006 to 2025), working on mural decoration, participating in festivals, and producing personal works on walls, canvases, and other media.

exhibiciones, talleres, cursos, conferencias, concursos y festivales, llegando a fundar y presidir
Certamen Nacional Fernando Quiñones, el Certamen Internacional “CICBUNY” Burgos-New

65. Igor Scalisi PalminteriIgor Scalisi Palminteri was born in Palermo in 1973. Aged 20, he joined the Capuchin order, where he spent the following 7 years. A Master of Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo, he has exhibited his works in several solo and collective exhibitions, in Italy and abroad. After his first shows he took his mother’s surname, as she passed away some years before.
Sacredness and saints are a constant theme in his prodcution.
A revised, distorted and sometimes ambiguous sense of sacrality is ubiquitous in his poetic.
While depicting saints as simple human beings, he simultaneously rediscovers their icons, reprocessing them without undermining their sanctity and using them as a starting point for an investigation on human nature and its identity.
He aninated several visual arts workshops for children and teenagers at risk of social exclusion, in cooperation with schools and social services (USSM).
Since 2018 he almost exclusively dedicated himself to interventions in the streets, working in close dialogue with residents with the goal of disseminating a sense of community and care through art. His works’ worth goes well beyond aesthetics, as they become a heritage of the neighbourhoods where they are carried out. During this year, he created some of his most famous murals like THE HOLY DEATH, SAINT BENEDICT THE MOOR, HAIL SAINTE ROSALIA.
In 2018 he also curated POSTCARDS FROM BALLARO’, a project entailing the creation of 5 walls painted by himself, co-curator Andrea Buglisi, Alessandro Bazan, Fulvio Di Piazza and Crazyone. The project had a strong resonance and a deep impact on the urban landscape. The documentary Perspective Ballarò, directed by Cuccia and Bellia, narrating the 5 artistic interventions in the neighbourhood revolving around the historical market, has been distributed by Netflix in 30 countries since 2022.
In 2019 he created SANGU E LATTI on a wall in the Sperone neighbourhood in Palermo, thus starting a journey with the local stakeholders. In 2021 he was one of the co-creators of SPERONE167, with artist CHEKOS and Danilo Alongi from Afea Art & Rooms: the encounter between local residents, associations, schools and many professionals gave birth to a lasting creative alliance propelled by urban art.
In 2022 the documentary The most useless seagull in the world by director Giuseppe Lanno is realeased. The film narrates his story, his interventions in areas at high risk of social exclusion, the places in his daily life, his studio.
Since 2018 he has been cooperating with the architectural firm AM3 to design a new church in the diocese of Agrigento. The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church was consecrated in November 2022. Igor designed and created all sacred furnishings, liturgical ornaments and artwork.

67. Andrea BuglisiAndrea Buglisi is a Sicilian painter born in Palermo in 1974. He graduated in Decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1998 with a thesis on Street Art. Since 2005 he teaches Painting Disciplines at the Liceo Artistico E. Catalano in Palermo. Actively involved in urban renewal projects, he describes his research as follows: "A kind of visual trap. I tend to lure the viewer with captivating images in terms of color and composition that wink at design and advertising. However, at a deeper level of reading we see something restless that, through the privileged trace of irony, conveys a critical message to society with its conventions and collective neuroses."
His work often addresses social and political issues, blending realism with surreal and symbolic elements. Buglisi's art frequently explores themes of identity, memory, and collective consciousness, reflecting the complexities of urban life. He draws inspiration from history, literature, and pop culture, using bold colors and intricate details to engage viewers emotionally and intellectually.
68. Pol CosmoPol Cosmo is a street artist from Ghent, Belgium. There is not that much known about his identity. He draws beautiful insects that pop up everywhere in the city. We had the chance to talk to him and ask him some questions.
Remarkably, he keeps saying he is not a good illustrator. “In school we had to draw these boring objects like apples, a glass, grapes, … and I wasn't any good at it. So I came to the conclusion I could better quit drawing, even though I liked it. It took me more than 15 years to realize there is more to illustrating than being able to make an image that resembles the reality as closely as possible.” His style is easy to recognize: black and white drawing, bold lines, patterns, … “Yes, I found a way to conceal my weaknesses. [laughs] Afterwards I copy them and I add some color. When they are ready, I cut them out and then they find their way to the streets.”
“The intention is to bring some color in the city, to make the neighborhood a nicer place to live and to surprise the people in a positive way. So dull gray concrete surfaces, electricity boxes, empty houses, … are perfect.”

72. Rocket01Rocket01 is a highly accomplished street artist and mural painter with over three decades of experience in the field. Originating from Sheffield, UK, Rocket01 currently resides in Portugal where he operates a studio in the northern city of Porto.
With a unique and recognisable style, Rocket01's work has gained recognition globally. He began as a graffiti artist in 1994 and quickly distinguished himself with his signature letter style incorporating realism and 3D elements. Later on, he transitioned to larger-scale mural projects, traveling worldwide to bring his art to diverse communities.
In his early graffiti years, he painted Sheffield's abandoned buildings, working alone in solitude. These hidden works became a crucial period of growth and experimentation, allowing him to refine his artistic skills and explore different styles. Despite remaining underground and unseen by the public, this time shaped his artistic identity and laid the foundation for future achievements.
Today, Rocket01 has shifted his focus to murals, studio work, and canvas paintings, where he explores his passion for dreamy sci-fi retro surrealism. His paintings often touch on themes of environmentalism, technology, science, and the natural world, inviting viewers to interpret and connect with his art in their own way.
Rocket01's artwork is instantly recognisable for its distinctive colour palette, which draws inspiration from the colours found in plant life. Although he initially used a combination of red and green hues, he has since expanded his use of colour to include turquoise and pink shades, among others. This limitless approach to colour allows Rocket01 to create truly unique and striking pieces that showcase his creativity and artistic talent.
Throughout his work, Rocket01 frequently incorporates the peace sign and CND badge as symbols of environmental and social consciousness. He also includes helmets, headwear, and animals as representations of the natural world and human progress.
Rocket01's painting techniques are as unique as his style. He specialises in using spray cans on canvas using a specially modified cap to achieve incredibly fine, almost hairline strokes. While it can be a challenging and time-consuming process, it's the method that Rocket01 has perfected over time, allowing him to maintain a connection to his street art roots.
With his dedication to his craft and unique artistic style, Rocket01 is truly a standout figure in the world of street art and mural painting.
