About the artist
A French street artist, RAST (31) started painting at the age of 14. His style is instantly recognizable, characterized by a blend of detailed realism and very dense texture with bright, cheerful colors. A couple years ago, RAST achieved a 'jamais vu' effect by creating a new concept MECHNANICAL PAINTING / mechanized frescoes. For real, these move thanks to a combination of technology and renewable energy. Always looking to innovate and go further, RAST multiplies the movements by adding more electric motors. First one, then 6 (Melchior - France - 2022), then 8 (Rosa - North Carolina - USA - 2022) and 12 (RenArtWlk Festival - Indiana - USA - 2023). Movements are also becoming more complex. In his latest mural, (Marianne - France - 2023), RAST makes a bird flaps its wings.
