<div>Very cool hyper realistic portrait by Matthieu Koga aka @koga.one done for the last Nimes Urban Art Festival Expo de Ouf. Koga is a Multi-media and multi-technique artist-painter from Metz<strong>.</strong></div><div>His work leaves a strong impression on the viewer with its dark irony, a varied palette and unusual and even disturbing combinations. He distorts a life scene, displaces or deforms fragments, or even combines / opposes photo-realism to a more raw and expressionist painting.&nbsp; Through his contrasts of shapes, colors or materials, he plays with the notion of realism, which he stretches to abstraction.&nbsp; These contrasting ideas are then frozen, under the brush, in a definitive visual unity.&nbsp; It is a way of discovering and accepting the singular beauty that reveals itself in hesitation, the unfinished, imperfection (source www.expodeouf.fr).&nbsp;</div>

<div>The collaboration between Nimois artists <strong>L'insect</strong> (@1sekt) and <strong>Ad Ec</strong> covers 2 walls in the Gambetta neighborhood of Nimes on the corner of rue de Bourgogne and Rue Baudin. You have 2 colorful fishes, one rainbow fish on the rue Bourgogne side and a beautiful blue one on the rue Baudin. The fish are exquisitely executed by L’insect with superimposed drawings of leaves and tropical flowers and looking closely you’ll see different scenes and characters, typical of Ad.Ec’s style. This another piece that was done in the framework of the Nimes Street Art Festival Expo de Ouf in it’s 9th edition this year in an excellent collaboration with the art gallery and bar Le Spot.</div><div><em>&nbsp;</em></div><div><em>Artist information from his FB page:</em><br><em>L'insecte is a self-taught artist coming originally from the street graffiti school. He has always been a big fan of typography, and more particularly old school graffiti letters from the 90s. He resists and protests modern society in his own way.&nbsp; For him, each place and each object have a story.&nbsp; Painting especially in the street, in vacant lots, wasteland or abandoned houses that he particularly likes, he generally uses a message related to the place he discovers.&nbsp; He does not hesitate to "go out of the frame" by adding to these canvases, different materials, such as raw wood, rust, or objects ... Or to vary supports, which allow him to create new effects. Always aiming to discover new techniques, he doesn’t belong to any particular movement. <div>The Blind Boxer – This beautiful wall by the very talented Primal Graphic looks as fresh in 2020 as when it was executed in September 2018 as part of the 7th Nimes Urban Art, Festival Expo de Ouf. This street art, exhibitions, music and simply neighborhood festival started in 2013 by restaurant and bar Le Spot located in the rue de l’Enclos Rey, the main central spot (as its name says) of the art pieces. You can found many, many walls around this central area. Primal Graphic is another very talented&nbsp; Montpellier painter, illustrator, designer and art director. He belongs to the art collective Atelier Tryptique. His universe is built around vintage, flayed and dismantled characters. His scenes are highlighted by a mix of geometrical and organic elements reminding us of an offbeat,&nbsp; dreamy and sometimes disturbing atmosphere.
