<div>For his world premiere in Genoa, Okuda San Miguel painted The Freedom Warrior. Freely inspired by a Saint George on horseback, the mural represents "a warrior of peace and freedom" immersed in a colorful and ideal landscape who "fights" to assert the rights of female artists and the LGBTQ + community. In fact, Okuda San Miguel, who has always fought for diversity and equal opportunities, supports the LGBTQ + community. In Genoa, for the first time, the artist harmoniously used figurative and graphic elements. "I wanted to participate in the project because I think I can help make a suburb like Certosa attractive, already too damaged by the collapse of the Morandi bridge, so that it is a destination for those travelers interested in learning about the beauty and communication skills of Street art. Photos taken October 2021.</div><div>⠀⠀⠀</div><div>'The "big wounded heart" of Genoa becomes a mosaic and a symbol of rebirth.</div><div>⠀⠀⠀</div><div>Inaugurated today the mosaic in Via Fillack "From the shards the great wounded heart of Genoa is reborn", the work of Gregorio Mancino in collaboration with Alberta Parodi and the inhabitants of the red zone of Ponte Morandi and the Friends of Rivarolo.</div><div>⠀⠀⠀</div><div>It is a symbol and a work of art: a very special mosaic, made with the shards of plates and glasses that belonged to the inhabitants of the red zone.</div><div>⠀⠀⠀</div><div>The idea was born from the collaboration between Alberta Parodi, pharmacist of Via Rivarolo, and Gregorio Mancino, an internationally renowned Milanese artist, who creates artistic hearts in the world and, as he says, goes "where help is needed and where I am attracted."</div><div>⠀⠀⠀</div><div>"We thought we could relaunch the city with this heart made of shards, which represents a rebirth - explains Greg - everyone has made available plates and glasses, already broken or broken on purpose. <div>Highway pylon 134 with one side with a child reaching up to draw a smiley sun. "Restiamo Umani" (We remain human) is spray painted top left.&nbsp; On the other side a large hand is reaching up to another hand with "dimmi chi escludi, ti diro chi sei" (tell me who you exclude, I'll tell you who you are) - Don Andrea Gallo written on the top.</div><div>⠀⠀⠀</div><div>'I thought of creating a work that could represent the history and identity of the city, highlighting its long tradition of integration and multiculturalism. Made in just over two days with the stencil art method, the work is divided into the two sides of the pylon: on one side a little girl is represented, who on tiptoe draws stylized shapes of boats, ships and a sun, metaphorically throwing the message to remain human (written in the upper left). The second facade instead wants to completely overturn the ideological dynamics on migrations, representing in fact a hand of color that saves, at sea, a "white" hand, launching a contrasting message and thus posing the question of who will save humanity. The famous phrase of Don Gallo "tell me who you exclude and I will tell you who you are" reinforces the message. It was an honor and pride for us to be able to collaborate with Walk The Line and Comunità San Benedetto al Porto in the realization of this work.' CHEKOS</div>

Photos taken October 2021.&nbsp;</div><div>⠀⠀⠀</div><div>'For Certosa, the district of Genoa most affected by the collapse of the Morandi bridge, I painted an anamorphism (an optical illusion effect whereby an image is projected onto the plane in a distorted way, making the original subject recognizable only by looking at the image from a precise position) on the architecture of the Caffaro middle school, within "On the Wall Festival". The idea of ​​combining anamorphism with school stems from the desire to give a new point of view to future generations, right where culture is formed and social networks are woven. The project was designed to be watched both on the street and on the school's balconies, giving students the chance to walk through it and discover new points of view. The painting was painted in collaboration with the residents of the neighborhood who joined the anamorphic design workshop, during a week of hard work on over 600 square meters of concrete. L7 Matrix

Luis Gustavo Martins, stage name of L7 Matrix, also known as L7M, was born in Sao Paulo in Brazil in 1986. He has traveled the world creating murals in 43 countries, and his canvases can be found for sale in galleries around the world, especially in Europe, where he has lived for 7 years. L7Matrix's favorite subjects are birds and jellyfish, a theme developed since the artist realized that his work should be available to everyone, anywhere in the world.</div>

Pecora nera

<div>This is a hall of fame: meaning that anyone can paint freely on the wall. Started as a simple wall full of texts, after the construction of a little skatepark, it became a great spot to see and try street art.
