Djoels

Djoels is a Belgian street artist and tattooist renowned for her realism and expressive murals. She grew up in Meulebeke and graduated from KTA Roeselare, specializing in lettering and publicity. Her passion for tattoo artistry started early—at just seven years old, she knew she wanted to become a tattoo artist, focusing on portraits. By nine, she discovered graffiti, which sparked her interest in street art. Determined and eager to learn, Djoels worked tirelessly to perfect her craft. At 19, she began tattooing professionally and quickly established her own studio, Tattoo Djoels Ink, in Deinze, Belgium. Around the same time, she started experimenting with spray paint, joining the Lostflammos graffiti crew. This experience helped her transition from traditional graffiti lettering to realism. Her breakthrough came in 2017 when she won the title of Ink Master: Meesters van de Lage Landen, the Dutch/Belgian edition of the popular InkMaster TV show. The victory cemented her reputation in the tattoo industry and expanded her recognition beyond Belgium. Besides tattooing, Djoels is passionate about oil painting and large-scale murals. Her work often features intricate portraits, including tributes to figures like Eminem, whose music played a significant role in her life. She continues to create across various mediums, balancing time between her tattoo studio and her street art projects. Her energetic and positive personality shines through in everything she does, making her one of Belgium’s most compelling contemporary street artists.
