Free your mind

Description

The artist himself says: "Between the poles of duality – light and shadow, noise and silence, being and becoming – modern humanity teeters through a zeitgeist louder than ever before. Social media flickers like an endless firework of images, opinions, and desires, and a thousand distractions tug at your consciousness daily, like voices in a crowded marketplace. Never before in human history has the in indoctrination been so constant, so subtle, so omnipresent.

They come and go like clouds in the sky of your consciousness. Some are dark and heavy, others light and fleeting – but none of them is the sky itself. The mind you think you know is often merely an echo of the world around you, shaped by algorithms, expectations, and unconscious patterns. But behind it all lies something untouched, something timeless.

Daoism speaks not in dogma, but in hints. In the art of “non-doing,” or Wu Wei, lies a paradoxical power: letting things happen without forcing them. Like a river that doesn’t struggle and yet finds its way through stone. Wu Wei is not passive surrender, but a deep trust in the natural flow of things. It is releasing the inner constriction that arises when we try to control everything.

In a world that constantly pushes you to do more, to be more, to show more, “non-doing” becomes an act of silent rebellion. It is a return – not outward, but inward. To a place where there is no noise. Where likes don’t count. Where your mind is not fragmented, but whole.

Perhaps liberation doesn’t mean achieving something new, but letting go of the old. The identification with thoughts. The pursuit of validation. The illusion that you have to find in the external world what is already within.

Between two thoughts lies a stillness that doesn’t judge you, doesn’t drive you, doesn’t compare you. In this stillness, freedom begins. Free your mind – not by filling it, but by recognizing it."

Note: The artwork is located in the Kammgarn courtyard and can usually be viewed during events.
