The artist himself says: ‘From the very beginning, trains were a preferred canvas for writers. (Before this Interweb and SocialMediaHype) Why? Quite simple, ideally they carry the work through the whole city and beyond. The art is brought to the viewer unannounced and free of charge. In art jargon, on the other hand, such processes are described as happenings, which are usually controversial but always treated with a certain respect and artistic claim. Art on trains is propagated as vandalism, the definition of which is translated as blind rage. (French vandalisme, referring to the plundering of Rome by the Vandals in AD 455) The spraycan has been my medium for over 20 years by now, this is a tribute to everyone who is out at night, lying around in bushes and railways, investing their lives and getting nothing back from society except ignorance and hate, near-death experiences only from your deepest inner drive to implement your art, self-taught without intension to be subject to art lecturers or studies, chases, blood, sweat, tears, love, hate, scars, the night, your moment that no one can take from you, absolute silence and perhaps the best experiences and stories in lifeand to live in the here and now … The night is yourz!‘
Note: The art work ist located in the Kammgarn courtyard. It is part of the ‚Graffiti Hall of Fame‘ and can usually be viewed during events.
