An impressive XXL mural stretching over 100 meters in length, painted in a pedestrian passageway dedicated to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book and animated series. Several artists from the Downtown Activities collective participated in its creation, with the collaboration of Hotel Graffalgar.
The mural can be described from left to right as follows:
The first section was painted by Uncle Ho and depicts Slash, the fifth Ninja Turtle, in the sewers alongside barrels of radioactive waste. Next to him stands a Foot Soldier.
The following section was created by artist Kade and features Raphael wielding his signature sai weapons.
Next comes April O'Neil, painted by artist Soper.
After that is a Wildstyle graffiti piece by Roys. Above the piece appears the symbol of the supervillain Shredder, while below it the phrase "Born to Shred" can be read.
To the right is an image of the aforementioned Shredder, accompanied by the signature of the artist who painted him, "REAK". Above the character appears the quote: "You are here because the outside world rejects you."
This is followed by one of Jupe Oner's abstract figures.
The next image was painted by Witch, who rendered his Wildstyle signature "WITCH". To the left of the lettering stands the martial arts master Splinter, the rat. Below and to the right, artist Myse painted the origin story of the Ninja Turtles: four small turtles approaching the radioactive contents spilling from a broken canister.
The following piece is by Myse and features an extremely distorted Wildstyle signature that likely reads "MYERS". To its right appears the supervillain Krang, with the Technodrome positioned above him.
Next, artist Wise painted his Wildstyle signature, while above it Rocksteady, the rhinoceros villain, appears in a piece painted by Myse.
The following section belongs to Darkelixir, who portrayed Leonardo slicing a pizza in half with his twin katanas.
The adjacent image is a Wildstyle piece by Redz. Beneath it the words "La Creme" can be read, while above and to the right appears the villainous warthog Bebop.
Next, artist Vaper Akvees presents his Wildstyle signature "VAPER", with the name "AKVEESSSS!" written above it in regular lettering.
Beside it is Michelangelo wielding his nunchaku, painted by Drops.
The next piece is Nask's signature.
Artist Merlyn then brings us Donatello holding his bō staff, alongside the artist's signature, "MERLYN UNO". Above and to the left, Myse painted Casey Jones.
Rens follows with a highly exaggerated Wildstyle piece.
Next comes artist Pums with his signature, accompanied by an open manhole cover.
The monumental mural concludes with the letters "DT" for Downtown, as well as dedications to the street art group Urban Painters, Hotel Graffalgar and, fittingly, since the Ninja Turtles famously love pizza, to the pizzeria that contributed to the project: Papi Umberto.
At the center of the mural is the entrance to a tunnel. To the left of this entrance, artists Maxime Ivañez and Kenzi painted a smaller mural featuring a group of buildings in the center by Maxime Ivañez, with Kenzi's name painted on both sides. Further left of the tunnel entrance is another small mural displaying Spark's Wildstyle signature.
