North West Walls

Sinds 2014 zijn de North West Walls een opvallend element in het Festivalpark in Werchter (België). Rock Werchter heeft laten zien dat kunst ook thuishoort op een muziekfestival en dat het werkt.

North West Walls heeft het festival een fantastische artistieke uitstraling gegeven. Als het gaat om kunstprojecten, is dit een zeer ambitieus project. North West Walls is een markant element in het landschap dat nog lang na afloop van het festival te bewonderen is. Het is een permanente installatie, maar toch ook weer niet, want elk jaar ziet het er weer anders uit.

Onder curatorschap van Arne Quinze worden de North West Walls elk jaar opnieuw tot leven gebracht door een nieuwe groep straatkunstenaars. Voor NWW#10 heeft curator Arne Quinze zes topstraatkunstenaars uitgenodigd: Bublegum, B:K Mafia, Elisa Capdevila, Speker, Tris en Wouter Persyn.

Curator by Arne Quinze, the North West Walls are brought to life each year by a new group of street artists.
For NWW#10, curator Arne Quinze has invited six top street artists: Bublegum, B:K Mafia, Elisa Capdevila, Speker, Tris and Wouter Persyn.
