Onder curatorschap van Arne Quinze worden de containermuren van North West Walls op het festivalterrein van Rock Werchter elk jaar opnieuw tot leven gebracht door zes straatkunstenaars. Voor de editie van 2026 koos Arne Quinze voor Anaïs Lera, Guillem Font, Afzan Pirzade, Luca Ledda, Nean en Kamma Marlo.

Kamma Marlo is een hedendaagse street artist en muralist uit Mollerussa in Spanje. Ze staat bekend om haar grote muurschilderingen waarin vrouwelijke figuren, natuur en organische vormen centraal staan. Haar stijl combineert realistische elementen met dromerige, symbolische composities en een zacht, natuurlijk kleurenpalet.

De titel 'Head in the clouds' verwijst naar de Engelse uitdrukking to have your head in the clouds: dagdromen of opgaan in gedachten. In Kamma Marlo's interpretatie krijgt die uitdrukking echter een positieve betekenis. Het werk nodigt uit om even afstand te nemen van de dagelijkse drukte en ruimte te maken voor verbeelding, reflectie en verbondenheid met de natuurlijke wereld. Die thematiek komt in veel van haar muurschilderingen terug

Kamma Marlo is a contemporary street artist and muralist from Mollerussa in Spain. She is known for her large-scale murals, which focus on female figures, nature and organic forms. Her style combines realistic elements with dreamlike, symbolic compositions and a soft, natural colour palette.

The title ‘Head in the clouds’ refers to the English expression ‘to have your head in the clouds’: daydreaming or being lost in thought. In Kamma Marlo’s interpretation, however, this expression takes on a positive meaning. The work invites viewers to step back from the hustle and bustle of daily life for a moment and make space for imagination, reflection and a connection with the natural world. This theme recurs in many of her murals.
