Onder curatorschap van Arne Quinze worden de containermuren van North West Walls op het festivalterrein van Rock Werchter elk jaar opnieuw tot leven gebracht door zes straatkunstenaars. Voor de editie van 2026 koos Arne Quinze voor Anaïs Lera, Guillem Font, Afzan Pirzade, Luca Ledda, Nean en Kamma Marlo.

Anaïs Lera is een Franse beeldend kunstenaar, illustrator en muurschilder die in Vancouver woont. Ze komt oorspronkelijk uit Zuid-Frankrijk en haar werk is sterk geïnspireerd door biologie, ecologie en de ingewikkelde structuren die in de natuur te vinden zijn.

Haar muurschilderingen staan bekend om hun zeer gedetailleerde en kleurrijke composities. Ze geven vaak fictieve ecosystemen weer waarin planten, schimmels, koraal, insecten en zeeleven worden gecombineerd. Op die manier creëert Anaïs Lera een mix van wetenschappelijke observatie en fantasie, waardoor landschappen ontstaan die zowel vertrouwd als buitenaards aanvoelen.

Anaïs Lera is a French visual artist, illustrator and muralist who lives in Vancouver. She is originally from the south of France, and her work is strongly inspired by biology, ecology and the intricate structures found in nature.

Her murals are known for their highly detailed and colourful compositions. They often depict imaginary ecosystems combining plants, fungi, coral, insects and marine life. In this way, Anaïs Lera creates a blend of scientific observation and fantasy, resulting in landscapes that feel both familiar and otherworldly.
