163. 10.Dig10.Dig is a stencil artist from Bergen. Stencils are mostly used to create the art. Making new stencils is always a test of patience, and much of the time is spent cutting them out. But it is incredibly satisfying to see the finished results after they have been sprayed. I have been involved in a few projects so far. I was lucky to be invited to Kleppestø secondary school on Askøy (just outside Berge) and paint 6 of my pictures on the school walls. Many artists have visited the school and left their mark on it. Askøy's mayor also received a canvas painted by me as a thank you for allowing us to paint at school, this was distributed by Øistein Jakobsen.

Graduated in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon. Since 2015 I have work as a full time artist doing studio work and mural work. The foundation of work my lies in the motivation to merge timeless languages from the history of painting with contemporary themes. With the belief that we are not disconnected from the past
and that we are the result of what we absorb. As an artist who operates in public space, the
mission becomes to trigger a convergence between different generations and reflect on timeless
and current issues operating as a bisector from time.

I wrote and illustrated Sam & Sara, the first picture book EVER created ENTIRELY with murals! I make public art to communicate with communities. The imagery I paint is powerful and uplifting, so that I may transform my surroundings with positivity. My humble service as an artist is to create visual narratives that bind people together. I treat the act of painting murals as a performance piece, by showing my love for the neighborhoods I work with I strive to involve the community as much as possible in my process. Either for the sake of place-making, entertaining, or enhancing the urban landscape, I try to make our world feel more connected through public art.

173. REDLBorn in Zurich in 1969, REDL developed a passion for drawing from an early age on. When the hip-hop culture and particularly graffiti grew in Europe during the early eighties, he was immediately fascinated by this new form of creative expression and sprayed his first painting in 1983.
Parallel to his preparatory course at the Zurich School of Arts and his vocational training as a photo retoucher and illustrator, REDL further developed his graffiti skills. The young artist was fascinated so much that he dedicated himself completely to this exiting mix of art and movement. In consequence, REDL became one of the main exponents of the Swiss graffiti and street art scene in the 1990s. By traveling around (Paris, Amsterdam to New York and Quito) he expanded his artistic horizon and met some of the most famous street artists, which had a significant influence on his work.
In 1993, he founded artworks.ch and since then has worked as an independent artist, graphic designer and illustrator.
Between 1998 and 2003, REDL regularly exhibited his works in Zurich.
As of 2004, he focused on his professional independence as a graphic designer and illustrator and only created canvas paintings and murals on request.
Among other things, he created the graphic design for the Openair Frauenfeld (the largest urban music festival in Europe) for 10 years. Or portrayed 120 athletes for Swiss Olympic, for the Olympic Games in London 2012.
For the past 12 years, REDL has specialized in 3D Anamorphic Murals, a complex version of contemporary urban art in public spaces. Since that time he has been working with Alex Hohl on large projects. A competent and well-established network of urban artists perfectly complements the duo.
So they completed projects at home and abroad for numerous companies, public institutions and private clients. Most of the artworks are created in Switzerland. But also in Egypt, Brazil, Hong-Kong, Thailand, Belgium, Italy, Germany and Spain REDL and his team has successfully executed big mural art projects.

175. NolNOL (Michaël Nolta)
The Netherlands-based artist has a style which can only be described as bubbly.
Everything he creates looks alive, is very round and looks as if it has been inflated.
Nol has created his own creatures to go along with this aesthetic which look like living balloons in themselves.
His creatures consist out of bold solid colors and bold black fluent lines which are used a lot in screen printing process, his other love.
This is also where his passion for crisp vector lookalike work comes from, as he tries to make his work look like as it has been machine made but in fact is done by hand.
In addition to his canvas work, he also likes to work as much as possible on walls. At present there are walls of him located in Vietnam, Ireland, England, Germany, Belgium and of course the Netherlands.
Since 2020 Nol is also dipping his toes into Virtual Reality art, which has resulted in a hide and seek tour in Bristol during Upfest.
People could search for his creatures and after they found them (and scanned them with their phone) they would pop up behind walls or bushes.
Nol’s main goal is to generate joy in people with his work.
176. Jean RoobleJean Rooble is a self-taught artist who learned painting through graffiti. Drawing since his childhood, he is caught by the hip-hop culture of the 90’s. Practicing tag and writing, he gradually included illustration to his mural practice, to finally focus on a photo-realistic work, always with spraypaint, freehand and according to his own photos. Revisiting classical painting, he defends societal and humanist themes on monumental surfaces.
He wants to create through his painting, and from the themes he addresses, a link between people. Even if each region has its own history, its figures and its traditions, he tries to convey a universal sense of tolerance and openness to the world.
177. Shauna BlanchfieldShauna is an Irish muralist and street artist, based in London. Her visual arts practice is grounded in figuration and reflects how self-definition is informed by place. She is interested in questions of unreliable memories, collective social identity, and inter-dependence. Shauna’s recent work explores the enchanting energy of illumination, a visual investigation of the playfulness of light illusion and a desire to bring a little magic to the everyday. Shauna is an alum of London School of Muralism and a member of WOM Collective.
179. Julian Clavijo - PACHIJulian Clavijo is a nationally and internationally renowned Award Winning Artist currently based in Melbourne, Australia. Thanks to his active participation in the production of "Memoir of a Snail" as Principal Sculptor, prompts and puppet making as well as background and skies, this film has been nominated to A Golden Globe and The Academy Awards - Oscars for Best Feature Animated Film, making him the only muralist ever to be nominated to such accolades.
A painter and sculptor since a very early age, Julian has demonstrated an enormous capacity to professionally establish his practice and style in Australia, South America, USA, Europe and the Middle East. After graduating in 2011, Julian started exploring the possibility of translating his photorealistic oil painting technique on to mural painting at any scale. By mixing spray painting skills, commonly use in the world of street art, and the traditional brush work techniques almost resembling classical fresco murals, Julian can achieve striking hyper-realistic results by painting murals at monumental scales in public spaces. This has earned him the respect and demand of the urban art community in Australia and around the globe.
180. Susan RespingerPerth based artist, Susan Respinger has been honing her skills in drawing and painting for most of her life. From a young age Susan loved creating very detailed drawings on paper and playful, colourful paintings on large canvases.
In 2016 Susan made the leap from large canvas paintings to even larger mural painting, pushing her work further in to the public eye and providing her the opportunity to create pieces of art which interact with the surrounding environment. Amongst the extensive range of commercial projects Susan has completed, two of her most well-known are the native flora and fauna paintings and portrait of Courtney Ugle on the Bulwer Plaza building in North Perth and the portrait of Frida Kahlo on Stirling Highway in North Fremantle for the Mexican homewares and jewellery shop Plata Bonita.
One of the notable attributes of Susan’s work is the variety of different subject matter. She does not stick to one particular theme in her art. Instead she explores extremely varied topics, always with an underlying tone of light-heartedness and fun.
When she’s not creating, you can find Susan immersing herself in Western Australia’s incredible natural coast line and outback where she draws a lot of inspiration.Showing all artists, updated on a daily basis.
