invader

Born on May 2, 1969, in Paris, Invader is a famous anonymous French street artist who studied fine arts. He began his iconic project in the late 1990s, taking his pseudonym from the famous 1978 arcade game Space Invaders. His signature work features pixelated mosaic art made from ceramic tiles that resemble 8-bit video game characters. He installs these mosaics on public walls around the world during unsanctioned operations he calls "invasions". Thousands of his pieces now adorn streets in over 100 cities worldwide, including Paris, Tokyo, and New York. Invader also invented "Rubikcubism," an innovative technique using Rubik's Cubes to construct complex multi-colored portraits. He created the "FlashInvaders" app, transforming his street art hunt into a real-life interactive mobile game for fans. Despite his global fame and major museum exhibitions, he continues to strictly preserve his full anonymity.
