The word "starlight stream" means a river full of joy like countless stars in the sky. It also contains a story of the birth of Kang Gam-chan, a Goryeo master who was born in Gwanak-gu and hero of the Battle of Gwiju.
'별빛내린천' 은 하늘의 수많은 별처럼 즐거움이 가득한 하천 이라는 뜻입니다. 여기엔 관악구를 고향으로 둔 고려 명장이자 귀주대첩의 영웅 강감찬의 탄생설화도 담겨 있습니다.
