This mural pays homage to the Senegalese fishermen, a community severely impacted by the overexploitation of their marine resources by foreign companies. This exploitation has forced many of them to migrate and integrate into regions like the Basque Country.

These immigrants have not only brought their rich fishing traditions but also contributed to the continuation of the Basque fishing industry. As such, the mural symbolizes the amalgamation of these two fishing cultures and their mutual struggle against resource depletion.

Lobsters are prominently featured in the mural as they are known for their slow aging and enduring strength. They serve as a symbol of the resilience and continuity of these fishing traditions in the face of hardship.

The mural was meticulously painted over five days using acrylic paint. It stands 10m high and 3m wide, a testament to the enduring spirit of fishermen from both Senegal and the Basque Country.
