With a temporary mural, Jan indicated that a new mural will soon be created here. Unfortunately, it was not possible to take an original photo of it; this may follow at a later time.

Met een tijdelijke muurschildering gaf Jan aan dat hier een nieuwe muurschildering gaat komen. Helaas hier geen originele foto van kunnen maken. Mogelijk volgt deze nog.

My passion for murals began in 2019. I read a newspaper article about Jan is de Man, who had created a mural in Utrecht. It depicted a bookcase (on Mimosastraat). Local residents had been asked what their favorite book was and whether he could include it on the bookshelf.
After my retirement, I started organizing cycling tours past twenty beautiful, large murals in Utrecht, and more recently also in Nieuwegein. It’s great fun to do!
