Painted by Spanish artist Lily Brik. St. Barbara is also name/patron of the cemetery nearby. One of her attributes is a sword. Maybe the peacock is because Saint Barbara is a martyr.

 Sta.Barbara is a very important symbol in Holland. Tunnel and dike constructions take a lonf time and often are dangerous and Barbara is considered the protector, and watches over the lives of workers ... I have had absolute Freedom and I have had the chance to do a very personal work that I have enjoyed a lot.
