Welcome to Den Haag

The mural should be part of the Zuiderpark skatepark place, which is not the case on the map, even if both (the mural and the place) have the same address. In order to solve this discrepancy, I moved the mural to an slightly different position.

Updated images, date, title, and description.

Error in the name of the artist Erwin Verkade

I found two articles related to the "Roy Lichtenstein" tunnel which gave more details about the artwork (name of the artist, date of artwork) : bezuidenhout.nl/opening-r… hetkrantje-online.nl/nieu… I added also a few pictures giving an overall view of the artwork.

I found further background information online. I added some pictures and rearranged them according to the theme.

The spot had been removed from the site because the mural had ben tagged. The tags have since been partially removed and one of the fours walls of the power station still has an intact mural.

I recently received a reply from SogoShow explaining the design of their mural, which sheds some very interesting light on the animals depicted.

The mural is located at the foot of the Pier, at the level of the beach and is besides some Sogo Show's murals.

Added name of the artist.

I received a mail from the artist explaining in more details the background of her mural. An article written by Staedion, who commissioned the painting, mentions also her mural under the following link: staedion.nl/over-staedion….
