The Anchor of Scheveningen

Since September 2024, a new mural has been on display on Keizerstraat, at the corner of Kolenwagenslag. It is part of the Art Sea District, an initiative with artworks in Scheveningen Bad and Scheveningen Village. The mural symbolizes the strong women of Scheveningen. Behind every strong man stands a strong woman. When the fishermen of Scheveningen spent weeks at sea, their wives had to take care of the house and family. This mural adds a new chapter to the rich history of Keizerstraat.
