Een fietsroute langs de werken van Mechelen Muurt 2.0

Voormalig stadskunstenaar Gijs Vanhee startte in 2014 het kunstproject Mechelen Muurt, waarbij kunstenaars uit binnen- en buitenland gebouwen onder handen nemen met verfkwast en spuitbus.

Voor het tweede hoofdstuk van Mechelen Muurt in 2021 strekken de muurschilderingen zich uit van de binnenstad tot de omliggende dorpen. Onder curatorschap van Gijs Vanhee, dit keer in duo met Jonas Tuch, kregen 10 muren een nieuw leven. Deelnemende artiesten waren onder andere SozyOne, Iota en El Tipo.

A cycle route past the works of Mechelen Muurt 2.0

Former city artist Gijs Vanhee started the art project Mechelen Muurt in 2014, in which artists from home and abroad take buildings in hand with paintbrush and spray can.

For the second chapter of Mechelen Muurt in 2021, the murals extend from the city centre to the surrounding villages. Under the curatorship of Gijs Vanhee, this time in duo with Jonas Tuch, 10 walls were given a new life. Participating artists included SozyOne, Iota en El Tipo.
