<div>Brewery the Cyclist (Brouwerij de Coureur) - a mural created by Nupstr for the microbrewery with taproom hidden behind the gate. The hops and wheats refer to the ingredients of beer, while the bicycle and gears refer to the name of the brewery. The colours blue, red, black, yellow and green are the same colours as on the rainbowshirts of the worldchampion cyclists. The main theme was safety in traffic. Using only brushes, so no spraypaint, it took the artist about two months to finish.</div>

<div>&nbsp;</div><div>De lerarenopleiding van hogeschool UCLL in Leuven heeft op campus Hertogstraat een gloednieuwe muurschildering van kunstenaarscollectief <strong>Treepack </strong>ingewijd. Het gaat om street art op de buitengevel van de sporthal. Treepack moest maar liefst 300 vierkante meter vullen met de muurschildering, maar dat is dus gelukt. De muurschildering werd dan ook op maat van de Hogeschool gemaakt, en duurde ongeveer twee weken om ze helemaal te schilderen. Ook de Leuvense skyline is in de tekening verwerkt. &nbsp;<br><br><br><br><br></div>

<div>&nbsp;A mural for the Pangaea meeting center, on the campus of the KU Leuven university. Treepack (<a href="https://www.treepack.net/projects"><strong>www.treepack.net</strong></a>) invited the Spanish artist Julieta (XLF) from Valencia.<br><br>We asked Julieta to explain the story behind her mural:<br><br><em>Diversity for me means color, different colors of mind, thoughts, sounds, food, skin, textiles, nature, and so much more...</em><br><em>But, color is a universal language. Color is joy, color is life.&nbsp; Colors vibrate to make us feel, and they have a specific meaning in nature and in our cultures. This meaning, these feelings and emotions are in our way of life and cultures, and have a common essence, even if we don’t realize it ourselves. </em><br><em>Through this universal language is have found this way to talk about diversity. Diversity is full of stories, legends, traditions, fantasy and freedom. Two characters holding our planet, one half of the globe on each side. They represent different realities and cultures within a single being. Here we see that there is so much to learn and share from each other, and that is a positive thing to be different from each other. We are able to discover new realities out of respect and LOVE.</em><br><br>​That the logo of the Pangaea meeting center resembles the globe in the artwork, apparently just happened to be a coincidence. But we do hope that the thousands of international students that go through this alleyway each day on their way to class, can appreciate this multi-culti work of art.&nbsp; &nbsp;</div>

<div><a href="https://www.treepack.net/projects"><strong>Treepack </strong></a>and Huis van de Tolerantie (Leuven) created a participative project to create a nicer neighborhood near the Brusselsestreet. They invited artist Tuch who together with two locals from Leuven (Lotte Falter/Warsnoes and Filip Donvil) painted this electricity cabin. The theme was 'nature', and they created the lungs of life that are hanging from a tree. <br><br>This mural is painted with Airlite - a 100% organic paint that reduces NO2 and CO2 in the air through nanotechnology. <br><br>This project is part of a larger whole. In the near future the tunnel going under the Leuvense Ringroad will also be painted.
