622. Rachel van BalenRachel van Balen is a visual artist working across murals, painting and drawing. Her practice moves fluidly between the studio and public space, creating work that responds to context, scale and the stories embedded in a place.
A strong attentiveness to visual language lies at the core of her work. Growing up with deaf parents, looking became a primary way of understanding the world. Subtle shifts in expression, atmosphere and spatial cues carried meaning early on. This heightened awareness continues to shape how Rachel observes, translates and responds to her surroundings.
Her projects often begin with close attention to a location — its history, architecture and social context — allowing visual work to emerge that feels both grounded and open. Through colour, graphic clarity and painterly depth, she creates murals and artworks that are present without overpowering, playful yet considered.
Rachel works on commission as well as autonomously, creating site-specific projects in public space alongside studio-based work.

I specialize in portrait work and have created most of my murals in rural areas. I believe deeply in the power of art—and muralism in particular—as a transformative force in society. It’s a way to reach all kinds of audiences, free from barriers or bias.

635. Sam LoSam Lo/ ‘SKL0’ is a trans visual artist based in Singapore with humble beginnings as a street artist. Dubbed the "Sticker Lady"- a nickname given by the city in reference to the saga that was birthed from their guerrilla work in the streets in 2012, Sam responds to the environment from which the work is created. Careful consideration is given to the context, setting, history and sensibilities of the subject matter in order to properly communicate and express its essence. This sensitivity and method of storytelling proves to be the artist’s strength, with the same sensibilities applied across different mediums from large scale murals to detailed illustrations to delicately hand-sculpted sculptures. Coupled with the artist’s signature style of vibrant colours and complex compositions, Sam’s pieces strive to illustrate the fabric of our society through art.
Sam has showcased their work in galleries and on large-scale murals both locally and internationally—from exhibiting the interactive sculpture Progress: The Game of Leaders at Art Central Hong Kong, Singapore Art Week, and the Melbourne Festival, to creating murals at street art festivals such as Lodhi Art Colony in New Delhi and Colour Way of Love in Shanghai. Their murals can also be found in cities around the world, including Amsterdam, London, Penang, Melbourne, Jakarta, New Delhi, and Los Angeles, to name a few. Their practice has further led to commissions from the Singapore Tourism Board, The Peranakan Museum, Singapore Art Museum, as well as global brands including Nike, Mercedes, and Riot Games. Beyond their visual art practice, Sam has taken on key leadership roles in the arts, serving as Art Director for CHINGAY (2023–2026), Festival Director of the PAssionArts Festival 2025, and Art Director of the milestone SG60 National Day Parade 2025.

638. ISA & MANWe are Isa & Man — a duo of mural artists driven by the desire to transform urban spaces into open-air galleries. Through our work, we seek to highlight the history, memory, and identity of each place, celebrating its cultural and human heritage.
Every project begins with deep immersion in the site. We study its history, environment, and community, listening to its stories and observing its rhythms. This thoughtful and sensitive approach allows us to create artworks that resonate with their surroundings — both visually striking and rich in meaning. Each wall becomes a narrative surface, a visual witness to a unique story waiting to be told.
To us, mural painting is a universal language. It transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, speaks directly to the viewer, and invites everyone to stop, feel, and reflect. It’s an accessible and living art form that restores a sense of humanity and meaning in the public space.
We strongly believe in community involvement. Engaging with local people, listening to them, and including them in the process helps strengthen social bonds and fosters a shared sense of pride. It is in this exchange that art finds its greatest power.

640. Cecilia LópezCecilia Lopez, A.K.A Ceciloel is a visual artist and a designer. Born in Mexico, based in Poland.
Since childhood art has always been an important part of my life. I like to think that my work evolved into a love song to my roots, inspired by the lavish of mesmerizing patterns and breathtaking hues.
My art draws inspiration from the unapologetic boldness of Mexican traditions like ~Dia de los Muertos~ and the lovely aesthetic of Talavera Poblana, which grounds the composition and adds a touch of cultural significance. In my creative process what I truly enjoy is capturing the unique essence of still life and portraits, infusing them with a blend of realism and stylization. To bring my vision to life, I summon soulful rhythms and patterns that dance with colors and emotions, utilizing a variety of mediums such as acrylics, sprays, watercolors, ink, and even digital tools.Showing all artists, updated on a daily basis.
