Two artworks next to one another, created for the Drents museum.

The two murals by Michel Velt and Roos Vink represent the encounter between Frida Kahlo's work and their own. Michel painted a portrait of Roos as a local female artist in the context of the Frida Kahlo exhibition in Drents museum, together with several attributes from paintings of Frida Kahlo.

Roos chose to paint her work 'shadowplay' as base and gave it a Frida touch. (This work “Shadowplay” is about the light and shadow side of life and within, which is also depicted by Frida a lot). According to Roos, Frida was a really inspiring artist and woman.
With this mural Roos Vink had the opportunity to make her big (first!) mural herself and challenge her fear of heights (and more..).

Twee kunstwerken naast elkaar, gemaakt voor het Drents museum.

De twee muurschilderingen van Michel Velt en Roos Vink verbeelden de ontmoeting tussen het werk van Frida Kahlo en hun eigen werk. Michel schilderde een portret van Roos als lokale kunstenares in de context van de Frida Kahlo tentoonstelling in het Drents museum, samen met een aantal attributen uit schilderijen van Frida Kahlo.

Roos koos ervoor om als basis haar werk 'Shadowplay' te schilderen en gaf het een Frida touch. (Dit werk “Schaduwspel” gaat over de lichte en schaduwkant van het leven en daarbinnen, wat ook veel door Frida wordt uitgebeeld). Volgens Roos was Frida echt een inspirerende kunstenaar en vrouw.
Met deze muurschildering kreeg Roos Vink de kans om haar grote (eerste!)
