A seriously defaced small electricity house near the Mattheusbos park in the Capucijnenstraat had been an eyesore for local residents for quite some time.
The Korvel-Sint Anna district council asked Gee Adriaansz to tackle this. As asked, Gee transformed the building into a colourful eye-catcher with poppies, foxgloves and cornflowers. A bee and a red admiral butterfly now also adorn this spot.
It is her first outdoor wall by this artist who first picked up a paintbrush about 4,5 years ago.

Gee is a nature artist living in Tilburg. She is the owner of Studio Gee, where everything revolves around art, nature and creativity. It's not an impersonal company, but a place where the love for nature and watercolor come together.

Studio Gee was created from her love for painting and nature. The artist believes that art helps us to really look, to see details that we might otherwise miss, and thus to feel a deeper connection with the world around us.

Fun fact: A nice detail is that the stencil of Jip and Janneke (by w0f0z), which has been on the building for quite a while, has been preserved and will soon get a frame as the finishing touch. I'll keep you updated.

Het ernstig bekladde electriciteitshuisje bij het Mattheusbos in de Capucijnenstraat was al langer een doorn in het oog van omwonenden. Wijkraad Korvel-Sint Anna vroeg Gee Adriaansz om het onder handen te nemen. Desgevraagd toverde Gee het gebouwtje om tot een kleurrijke stukje natuur in de wijk. Ze schilderde klaprozen, vingerhoedskruid en korenbloemen. Ook een bij en een atalantavlinder sieren nu deze plek.
Het is de eerste buitenmuur van de kunstenares die zo'n 4,5 jaar geleden voor het eerst een verfkwast oppakte.

Gee is natuurkunstenares en woonachtig in Tilburg. Zij is eigenaar van Studio Gee, waar alles draait om kunst, natuur en creativiteit. Geen onpersoonlijk bedrijf, maar een plek waar de liefde voor natuur en aquarel samenkomen.

Studio Gee is ontstaan vanuit haar liefde voor schilderen en de natuur. De kunstenares geloof dat kunst ons helpt om écht te kijken, details te zien die we anders misschien zouden missen, en zo een diepere verbinding te voelen met de wereld om ons heen.

Fun fact: Leuk detail is dat het stencil van Jip en Janneke (van w0f0z), dat al een hele poos op het huisje staat, bewaard is gebleven en binnenkort als finishing touch een lijstje krijgt. Ik houd jullie op de hoogte.
