Description

This work by Canadian artist Jason Botkin is characterised by an expressive black-and-white visual language.

Jason Botkin has spent many years creating large-scale murals and collaborative art projects. He is particularly known for his involvement in EN MASSE, an international initiative centred on collaborative black-and-white drawing. Bringing individual artistic styles together to create a shared visual universe is a defining feature of the project and also relates closely to Botkin's own artistic approach.

Set in the historic courtyard of Abbaye Saint-Martin, the work takes on an additional dimension. The artwork reflects the broader spirit of the Festival International des Arts Urbains de Laon, which brings diverse voices from the international urban art scene into historic and urban spaces.
