Op een blinde muur langs de Kromme Elleboogsteeg in het centrum van de stad schommelt zijn eigen dochtertje Meesie van 4,5 jaar door de sterrenhemel. Het jongste werk sluit daarbij aan op de twee grote muurschilderingen aan de Johan van Vlietstraat die hij eerder dit voorjaar maakte, waarop kinderen hun eigen (sterren)wereld creëren.

,,Ik speel met de vraag wat we onze kinderen eigenlijk bijbrengen over een gezonde balans die we nodig hebben in deze wereld’’, vertelt hij ,,Zeker nu in deze rare tijden is dat belangrijk. De hele wereld in uit balans en we schrikken wakker.’’

On a blindwall along the Kromme Elleboogsteeg in the center of the city, his own 4.5-year-old daughter Meesie swings through the starry sky. The latest work is in line with the two large murals on the Johan van Vlietstraat that he made earlier this spring, in which children create their own (starry) world.
“I play with the question of what we actually teach our children about a healthy balance that we need in this world,” he says. “Especially now in these strange times, that is important. The whole world is out of balance and we wake up with a fright.”
