KLUS - The Project

+37

Description

A StreetArt Bergen Project.
KLUS was amazing. It was beyond what one expected as we entered into dialogue with the head master. KLUS was to celebrate their 50 anniversary. It developed into a worldwide unique collaboration between the school and urban artist from Bergen. We were handed the master key and had it for 8 months. We came when we wanted and painted. We painted for 8 consecutive months – in an operative school. This rounded up to become a three floor gallery for the students to enjoy. And we painted for the teachers as well – we had the key so why not. One of those for the history books with under the expression – We were there!

In the end it developed into three projects.
1. The Anniversary project.
2 The Tiger and
3. The Lumicontrast project. A colors project where graffiti was used to comply with the buildings regulations in Norway for assisting visual impaired individuals. It was a hit!

The school can be visited during regular hours. We suggest that you make contact with the school asking to visit if you want to check out the inside. The outside is for all to enjoy 24/7. Street and graffiti can be found on all three floors of the school, as well as in the assembly hall of the school.

Started walking the streets back in 2015. This developed into shooting and documenting our streets. From there I dove into the scene becoming part of it. I developed the platform StreetArt Bergen (FB/STREETARTBERGEN.TRUE). A platform for documenting and organizing projects. By 2023 our projects have painted over 30K m2 of graffiti and street art in our turf. Largest single project was more than 13K m2.We don’t do tours nor merch. Good hunting in our turf.
