Paulino Ramos (July 26, 1923 - September 6, 2009) was a very versatile, self-taught visual artist, who sought to express himself in multiple domains. One of his favourite themes was the city of Évora. He painted it all his life. Initially in oil and watercolour, he later dedicated himself to another technique, which he sought to perfect: copper and iron plate with tin reliefs, moving on to the gold leaf technique and finally finishing with a mixed technique of acrylic, drawing and coloured pencil on paper.

He created the logo for the famous “Pirata” chewing gum and was the coordinator of the children’s magazine of the same name. But he didn't stop there and showed off his creative versatility in the execution of tile panels, stained glass windows and in the construction of sets.

Artwork made for 100PAVOR. This Association of Visual Artists, was created in the city of Évora in January 2013 by 5 friends with the aim of stimulating art in public spaces and among young people.
