The artist's starting idea is a female figure, taking inspiration from some frescoes of the ancient city and adapting them to her cartoon style. The concept is to blend history with modernity emphasizing the word "resilience" and its dictionary-styled definition. The smartphone shows the ability to immerse oneself in the search for the term and its definition.
Silvia Pezzotti, originally from Valle Camonica, is the art director of Octofly Art, a self-funded project that was started at the end of 2013. She has been drawing with pencils and markers since she was a child, and after a few years, she enrolled in the traditional art school "Decio Celeri" in Lovere, where she learned the fundamental skills and techniques required to join the "Santa Giulia" Academy of Fine Arts in Brescia, where she graduated in Painting in 2014. In those years, she founded her brand and artistic identity. She uses cartoon-style graphics and shapes reminiscent of street art, with figures defined by wit and ingenuity, created using a variety of techniques with no boundaries. The smooth, inventive forms with an exquisite and happy appearance are the distinguishing elements of this art. Octofly Art combines a vital manual and artisan component of traditional origin while also incorporating new digital technologies.
