Say hello to ‘Galvia’✨🖌A collaboration between Galway City Arts Office, Monaghan's Centra, Galway's Westend and talented artist Sufek West Murals Ireland, the 'Galvia' mural pays homage to the local legend which claims the town was named after Gaillimh or Galvia, the daughter of the mythical king Breasal, who drowned in the river. The painting, on the gable wall of Monaghan’s Centra on Raven's Terrace uses strong colours that are in keeping with the area and features some iconic Galway details such as the Claddagh Ring, Galway Cathedral, The Long Walk and River Corrib Salmon.
