This Japanese grandma with a rice hat by Elmar Tuinstra is part of an 180 m long and 3,5 m high concrete wall that seperates the appartments from the train station. This is apparently the bigest graffitiwall in the Netherlands. In 2006, 40 artist from all around have made murals that have something to do with the unknown. When you leave Leeuwarden by train and go south, you are going towards the far and unknown. That's why you can see murals with a Japanese grandma and an Astronaut.
