Artist Matthias Mross created the mural with the help of a cherry picker and completed it on Saturday, August 6, 2022. The project is the latest measure by the city's Office for Economic Development and Science to strengthen the attractiveness of the side streets in the old town.

The mural has a special reference to Plöck and its stores and residents. The motif shows a real street scene in front of a nearby store in Plöck: a young man sitting in front of the store with the shopkeeper's dog jumping happily on his lap. A photo of this moment served as the model for the large mural.
