The Tiger at KLUS - and the making of it

A StreetArt Bergen Project.

Project was carried out May 2022.

The Tiger at KLUS (high school in Kleppestø, Askøy) came about based on a huge wall which kids used as billboard for wet paper towels. When they dry they stick to wall. Wall is three stories high, inside and a f¤#ing hazel to clean. Can only be done by lift.

Well what do u do?

We were in doing an awesome wall project where we painted the inside and outside of the school. Absolutely wild project! We had the master key to the school for eight months. Painted three floors and the basement.

Us looking at the awesome wall and made a proposal. If someone comes up with a fair budget it can be painted. Our partners at the school on this gig was the student council. Head master had given her GO so did the tech guru.

We asked our friends at Naboen Utleie AS if they could back us. Seems like those guys do not know the word NO.

YES!!! We had all the chips we needed.

The student council managed to get the funding. We made a competition among artists in Bergen. Sketches were handed over to the students and they decided who the winner was. SORRY and Mr. Adolfito were the lucky ones.

Sins all chips were in, SORRY and Mr. Adolfito could start working the wall. Sketching freehand direct on the wall. Then filling in and adding, building the tiger from ground up.

It came out awesome. Even better that what could be expected. Since the tiger showed up, there have been no more wet paper towels sticking to the wall. Now it’s clean and wild.

The school has finally got their mascot, The Tiger at KLUS.
