Nyngan, New South Wales, has a new water tower mural as part of the Australian Silo Art Trail. The mural, completed by artists Krimsone and Scott Nagy, depicts a vibrant river scene with native flora and fauna, including a pelican, kookaburra, and the rare olive perch. The artwork is intended to reflect the region's natural beauty and cultural significance.
The mural is located on Terangine Street and was completed over three weeks. The design incorporates elements that are meaningful to the local community, including totems of the area's Traditional Indigenous custodians. The mural is already attracting visitors and positive feedback, with many stopping to admire the detailed artwork.
The project was funded by the state government and is part of a broader initiative to revitalize regional towns through public art. The Nyngan water tower art is visible from various parts of the town and is situated next to the Nyngan Bowling Club.
