By reproducing the battle of Lucio Cornelio Silla, during which Pompeii was conquered in the summer of 89 BC, the artist aimed to illustrate the message that even a triumph, if won through violence, is highly harmful: in the end, there remains nothing more than ruins.
RUN is a female Iranian street artist based in Tehran since 2012. She travels and paints nature-inspired portraits, murals and paste-ups, digital arts, and other works primarily with spray paint and acrylic paints. She seeks to explore what lies within humans and how feelings and emotions can alter our perception. She also uses handmade paste-ups to spread her artwork throughout the city, attracting passersby's attention. RUN's artwork can be found in Iran, Turkey, Oman, Georgia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Armenia, UAE, and Germany. Aside from her artworks and murals, she has participated in meetings, exhibitions, meetings of styles, festivals, and events, is also the first female skateboarder in Iran, having skated since 2009.
