The illustration depicts an orange octopus, a symbol of marine life, which appears in a small pool of polluted water that drains from the gutter. Its tentacles interact with different types of waste, such as cigarette butts, plastic and paper, conveying the idea of how improperly discarded waste ends up reaching the oceans and affecting biodiversity. The drawing highlights other visual elements that reinforce the environmental message, such as: Water polluted with trash and debris. A fish skeleton, representing the negative impacts of pollution on marine life. The artistic composition seeks to provoke reflection on how trash discarded in everyday life can affect aquatic ecosystems. The octopus, an intelligent and adaptable animal, symbolises the resilience of nature, but also its vulnerability to human action.
