Dit werk van David Duits is het eerste deel van een groter geheel. Op de plek van deze muur stond vroeger het belastingkantoor van Torhout. Dat gebouw werd gesloopt om de vrijgekomen ruimte om te toveren tot een groene publieke zone: 'de Watertuin'.

Met zijn streetartproject gaat Duits nog een stap verder. Hij gaat alle muren die 'de Watertuin' omringen beschilderen met één doorlopend natuurtafereel.

In het eerste deel zie je een kind dat het bos aan het planten is, terwijl enkele bosbewoners al nieuwsgierig komen piepen.

This work by David Duits is the first part of a larger work. On the site of this wall used to be Torhout's tax office. That building was demolished to transform the freed-up space into a green public zone: ‘the Watertuin’.

With his street art project, Duits is going one step further. He is going to paint all the walls surrounding ‘the Watertuin’ with one continuous nature scene.

In the first part, you can see a child planting the forest, while some forest dwellers are already peeping curiously.
