When Tamara Alves originally painted this mystical mural for Festival TODOS 2016, along the outer wall of the Hospital dos Capuchos, the background was a blood red color. The composite image spoke of the history running through the veins of Lisbon neighborhoods and the blood running through the veins of the multicultural Lisboetas.

Years of relentless Lisbon sun has faded this background to sweeping shades of gray, but it remains no less impressive.
