In het gebouw van de voormalige Muziekodroom vind je nu Bootstraat. Muziekorganisatie AFF (van het Absolutely Free Festival aan C-Mine in Genk) en jongerencultuurhuis De Serre starten er samen een vernieuwend centrum voor jongeren en muziek op. De creatieve broedplaats wordt ondersteund door de stad Hasselt en Hogeschool PXL.

AFF organiseert regelmatig optredens in de Bootstraat, onder meer Miles Kane en Whispering Sons waren er al te gast. Tijdens de zomermaanden kan je er dankzij De Serre ook bij 'De Koer' terecht. Dit is een buitenterras met veel sfeer en muziek, in de schaduw van de gigantische murals van Iota en Sokar Uno. Op de gevel van de Bootstraat vind je street art van Itni en KBRT. Liefhebbers van sticker art komen op deze locatie zeker en vast ook aan hun trekken.

You can find Bootstraat in the building of the former Muziekodroom. The creative breeding ground is supported by the city of Hasselt and Hogeschool PXL.

AFF regularly organises performances in the Bootstraat. Miles Kane and Whispering Sons, among others, have already been guests there. During the summer months, you can also visit 'De Koer' thanks to De Serre. This is an outdoor terrace with plenty of atmosphere and music, in the shadow of the giant murals by Iota and Sokar Uno.
