For the design of his mural Ton Lammers asked the local residents for input. They suggested nature, greenery, trees and leaves to refer to the arrival and departure of the neighbourhood residents. With that in mind Ton created this unique design.
Making the neighborhood more beautiful, fun and active to live in together was one of the objectives of the "Schônste wijk programma" (most beautiful neighbourhood program). The murals are physical interventions to achieve this goal. The walls for the paintings have been chosen with care and, the residents were involved in the design phase.
The painting was realized through co-financing by Buurtcultuur Tilburg, the municipality of Tilburg and Tiwos.
